As a mom, there's always something on my "to-do" list. Most of the time, the list revolves around chores or something for my kids. However, then there are the things I want to do that seem to stay on the list forever. These are the 10 things on my current mommy "to-do" list.
# 10 Clean the floors
With two kids, two cats and two dogs, our floors become dirty quickly. Thus, cleaning the floor is always on my to-do list. After having a baby, I had to let the floors become a little dirtier than normal. However, now I'm back to vacuuming and cleaning away all the grime.
# 9 Finish the nursery
Since our baby was early, we didn't quite finish our baby's nursery. We have the crib and decorations. However, we need to tie it all together.
# 8 Get a pedicure
For the past couple months, my feet have looked like some creature out of "Lord of the Rings." With being pregnant for most of the year, I stopped being able to look at my feet. Now that we have had our second child, I won't have time for a pedicure. Still, I'm going to keep it on my list.
# 7 De-clutter
Since our first child was a girl, we are still clearing out the female baby clothing. The toys have started taking over. With bottles, diapers and bouncers around the house, it's definitely time to clean house. We will be starting spring cleaning early this year.
# 6 Go shopping
I have a gift card that I've been waiting to use for non-pregnant clothes. As soon as I lose the last five pounds of pregnancy weight, I will be putting my gift card to good use.
# 5 Go on a date night
The other night my husband and I were able to watch a movie together. I had to feed the baby in the middle of it. However, I can't wait to go on a real date night with my husband.
# 4 Scour the shower
Again, after being pregnant and having a baby, things like cleaning the shower took the back burner. The daily shower cleaner won't cut it anymore.
# 3 Go to the park with my daughter
Before having baby No. 2, going to the park with my daughter was an everyday event. Our preterm baby had a short stint in the NICU. Now, that we are finally home, it's taken about a week to adjust. Soon, I hope to have a mommy-daughter day at the park.
# 2 Work out
Of course, losing my mummy tummy is a top priority. I know it will be a tough battle. However, as soon as the flu season is over, I will be back at the gym.
# 1 Put together the baby book
I've taken plenty of cute pictures of our son. I've saved his armband from the hospital. Now, it's time to put it all into his baby book.
