There are many ladies who want to move in with their guy but are absolutely nervous and scared to do so. Thoughts of losing that independence while having to deal with bathroom issues and socks on the floor stop many right in their tracks. Before you start making a rundown in your head about all the negative reasons there are for moving in with your guy, there are quite a few benefits of living together that could get you started on the path toward cohabitation.
He's there at the end of a bad day
There are many bad days when you just want to go home, curl up on the couch and relax all by yourself. However, you likely have many days where you would just like to walk through the front door and see your guy standing there (or at least know he'll be arriving home shortly). It can often turn around an entire bad day.
You save money
Living by yourself is expensive! When you live with your guy, you split the rent, the food, utilities and everything else that comes with splitting a place together. You'll be able to put even more money into your savings.
He does things you don't want to do
One of the best things about living together with your guy is that he can do things you don't want to do (or don't have time to do). For example, if you're stuck at work and getting home late, he can cook something for both of you if he's home. It's a good opportunity to trade chores as well. If you don't like taking out the garbage but don't mind dishes, you do one while he does the other. Consider it a really good exercise in compromising.
You really get to know him
You don't truly get to know a guy until you live with him. His quirks will come out in full force and you'll get to know each other in a whole new way. A few of these things won't exactly be pleasant, but for the most part, it can help you feel closer to each other (literally and figuratively).
More opportunities for sex
Since neither of you have to go off to your respective homes, there's plenty of extra time for sex. However, just because you're living together doesn't mean sex is going to stay the same way it's always been. Considering the two won't have that anticipation about the next time you're going to see each other/have sex, you'll have to work a bit harder to spice things up a bit and keep things interesting.
His face is the first and last you see
It's a comforting feeling to have your guy's face be the last you see at night and the first you see in the morning. You know that no matter how many bad days you have at work or how many rough patches you have with friends, he's still there. It's one of the biggest benefits there is of living together. Make sure not to take that for granted.
It may seem like a simple decision when it comes to moving in with your guy, but it's something you should certainly take some time to think about. Don't rush into it! Even with all the benefits of living together, you want to make sure it's right for both of you and it's the right time.
