The mouth tells everything, even when you aren't actually speaking. It'll tell your age and whether you smoke or not. The lips can tell if you have a propensity to frown or smile. Despite how lined your lips are, you can erase those tale-tellers in a few steps. It may take some time to see an improvement but it will be worth the effort. Erase those lip lines and cut down on the lip gossip.
Wear SPF on your lips by using an SPF lip balm daily. It's best to wear a lipstick that contains SPF; this makes keeping the SPF in place easier. Sun damage can really wrinkle the thin skin of the lips.
Fill in tiny wrinkles with a lipstick primer. Primer soothes out the lines and makes applying lipstick effortless. Lipstick primer also keeps the color intact and prevents feathering.
Always wear a neutral lip liner. If you have lines on or around the lips, wearing dark lip liners is a problem. Instead of rolling on dark cherry or bright red lip liner, use a neutral liner to create a natural lip line. Use a magnifying mirror to get the best application possible.
Line outside the lip. Instead of making a crooked line with a lip liner, draw the lip line just outside of the natural lip line. By drawing outside of the area around the mouth, you'll make lips smoother, perkier!
Don't smoke cigarettes. Besides all the bad mojo it gives your lungs and internal organs, it makes you look old. Quit smoking and save your face from excessive wrinkling.
Apply a daily serum that fights wrinkles. Skin scientists recommend using products that contain alpha hydroxyl acids to reduce wrinkles. Relatively inexpensive, these wrinkle fighters deliver big results. Before hopping into bed with your cleansed, moisturized face, dab on wrinkle serum and wake up looking refreshed.
Lift away lip hair. Hairy shadows around the lips make lip lines look even worse. Pluck, wax or shave away excessive hair around the lips to hide lip wrinkles. Hairy patches draw attention to the area. Keep the lips smooth and hair free.
