Just explain, plainly and simply, that you've never been fond of shoulds, and that you hear 'don't' as an invitation to break the rules.
Today is not a good day for investments of any kind. You'll most likely find it hard to communicate and relate to others. However, it's a great time to stimulate your mind. Read a good book or take out your chess set. Staying low-key will leave little room for upsets.
