Be sure to pat them on the back and let them know that you are proud of them. It won't cost you anything, and it will mean an awful lot to them.
The best thing for you to do today is to avoid people. This day might bring out your worst traits of stubbornness, impatience and moodiness. Take a drive to the mountains or an open stretch of land, stopping along the way to enjoy the views. It may calm your mind and reenergize yourself for tomorrow, which should be a more favorable day.
