In any type of negotiation today, it's important that you try be patient and to just listen to people. Do not be too dogmatic about what you want; if you are, you could end up scaring everyone off. More than ever, you need to give the impression that you're eager to hear suggestions and ready to make a deal. Now is not the time to say that it's 'my way or the highway' -- you need to find a way to get everyone onboard with your plan.
