If you are on one side of an issue and all your friends are on another, well, so what? You do not have to take on the burden of changing everyone's minds -- if you disagree with them that doesn't have to mean that you think less of them. Agree to disagree and avoid this controversy in the future. Pushing your agenda too hard will turn people off, and make them think that you don't accept them for who they are. As long as they're not breaking any laws or indulging in hatefulness, don't let it bother you.
