Skip the small talk and try to create a real connection -- and keep in mind that sometimes disagreements and friendly conflict can help a relationship grow in significant ways. You will impress people with your sense of curiosity and encourage them to be more open with you.
Make sure you immediately set up some time in your calendar for a mini-retreat for yourself -- thirty minutes in nature to de-stress or a quick cup of tea at the local coffee shop will be fine. Whatever it is, avoid the crowds, and use the time to restore your energy in solitude. It's the end of the week, so it's especially important you take this time to unwind and refresh yourself for the weekend ahead.
