For better or worse, someone has captured your attention, totally and completely. You can't remember the last time you felt this way. And there's a good reason for that: You probably haven't ever felt this way. At least, not since becoming an adult. It's called passion, and this wave of it is here for at least the day. What you do with it is up to you, of course, but you can cross arguing off the list right away.
Temper your workaholic tendencies today and avoid taking on new projects. Focus instead on creating a greater foundation for your already existing work. Don't think that this effort and focus will go unnoticed, and don't be surprised if a boss decides to give you a promotion. All those evenings of burning the midnight oil will come to fruition today. Take some time to relax, because the next couple of days you'll need some reserved energy to be effective in your work. Remember, in managing your energy, you are actually being more effective in your work. Sometimes less really is more.
