Using your hands could be a real stress reliever for you. Whether you head down to the local high school machine shop to go to work on your homemade motor or you pick up an extra pack of toothpicks for some fun with building fortresses with glue, make sure you find something to keep your fingers busy. And no, sending emails doesn't count. Neither does anything you do online. You need to do some good old-fashioned handiwork.
Make sure you immediately set up some time in your calendar for a mini-retreat for yourself -- thirty minutes in nature to de-stress or a quick cup of tea at the local coffee shop will be fine. Whatever it is, avoid the crowds, and use the time to restore your energy in solitude. It's the end of the week, so it's especially important you take this time to unwind and refresh yourself for the weekend ahead.
