Bragging is not cool -- but false modesty is worse! If you did something good, then you should be up front about it. As soon as you start hiding your accomplishments, you start negating your own accomplishments. This is a great way to hurt your self esteem. It doesn't matter why you're being so modest -- you could be trying to save someone's feelings, you could be trying to ingratiate yourself. Just stop! Be honest about what you did -- and about the fact that it was pretty awesome!
You may be required to do a large job. Be flexible and cooperative with colleagues; you may need them to help you finish the project.
