Beware of the magnetic pull of your social circle. You have to keep your priorities straight, and (unfortunately) painting the town will have to wait until your work is finished! Don't procrastinate. If you've got something boring or unpleasant to do, do it as soon as you can -- the faster you finish, the sooner you'll be able to relax and have fun (without any 'procrastinator guilt' hanging over your head).
Make sure you immediately set up some time in your calendar for a mini-retreat for yourself -- thirty minutes in nature to de-stress or a quick cup of tea at the local coffee shop will be fine. Whatever it is, avoid the crowds, and use the time to restore your energy in solitude. It's the end of the week, so it's especially important you take this time to unwind and refresh yourself for the weekend ahead.
