Trust the people who are in power right now -- even if you don't know them very well (or know them too well!). They know more about what is going on that you do, and are capable of steering things in the right direction. Questioning authority is usually a smart thing to do, but right now it will only be a waste of time. Doubting someone based on your suspicions is not the same as doubting someone based on their past actions. Give them a chance -- they will impress you.
The best thing for you to do today is to avoid people. This day might bring out your worst traits of stubbornness, impatience and moodiness. Take a drive to the mountains or an open stretch of land, stopping along the way to enjoy the views. It may calm your mind and reenergize yourself for tomorrow, which should be a more favorable day.
