If anyone is tired of heart to heart conversations, cards on the table, or anything else that even remotely sounds like having yet another serious conversation, it's you. You've paid your dues and then some, and as far as you're concerned, the debt has been satisfied. If you can't convince them to let go of it and finally have some fun, you'll find another companion. Give them fair warning. After all this, however, two minutes seems more than fair.
You could get a break from your many obligations and have time to catch up on old projects. Try to be thoughtful and caring to a friend who might need a shoulder to lean on. You may be a little distant from your love partner while you're busy thinking about the practical side of life.
