But you need to be aware that the consequences could include a shoddy result. Taking short cuts may give you more time, but will it give you more satisfaction?
Temper your workaholic tendencies today and avoid taking on new projects. Focus instead on creating a greater foundation for your already existing work. Don't think that this effort and focus will go unnoticed, and don't be surprised if a boss decides to give you a promotion. All those evenings of burning the midnight oil will come to fruition today. Take some time to relax, because the next couple of days you'll need some reserved energy to be effective in your work. Remember, in managing your energy, you are actually being more effective in your work. Sometimes less really is more.
