That said, you can only do what you can do -- and you can't live anyone else's life for them. So if they won't cooperate, don't beat yourself up about it.
You could get a break from your many obligations and have time to catch up on old projects. Try to be thoughtful and caring to a friend who might need a shoulder to lean on. You may be a little distant from your love partner while you're busy thinking about the practical side of life.
