Going to a party is a lot more fun than planning an event, but organization is required if you want this thing to go off without a hitch. Put more time into the next party or event you are throwing together. It doesn't have to be a lot of time -- just double check the guest list to make sure you didn't leave anyone off. Confirm details with the restaurant or caterer. Put together the outfit you're going to wear. Do whatever you can to take care of things you'd rather not worry about the day of.
