Helping someone live a happier life is a nice goal, but it's a difficult undertaking -- and it's also a big gamble. You might think it's your job to bring someone out of their shell and be more social, but it is not. You have to let people live the life they choose to live -- even if you think it's not making them happy. All you can do is invite them places, encourage them whenever it seems appropriate, and respect them if they don't follow your suggestions.
Spend this day tending to things you've been neglecting. Whether it's routine household chores or an extra project for work or school, you will benefit greatly from the attention you put in to these things today. However, take care not to start new jobs or make any long-term plans, because it's unlikely they'll pan out the way in which you desire.
