Despite what you were taught in grade school, sharing is not always a good thing -- at least not right now. If you share your resources in your typically generous way, you are going to end up with the short end of the stick. If you give a little, someone might take a lot. It's not that they are greedy, it's just that there is a lot of uncertainty in the air. And when people are uncertain, they get panicky. And since it can be hard to say no, you shouldn't even offer in the first place.
