3. Girly with a Global Touch
A cramped girl's room in a Park Avenue apartment becomes intimate and worldly thanks to a high-bohemian theme by designer Daniel Sachs. "It was difficult, almost like doing boat design," he says of the space where he successfully fit a bed, a closet, a desk, and a chair.
The curtains and the fabric-covered desk are in Les Indiennes' Duchesse. The slipper chair is a Sachs Lindore design, covered in Shikara by Nicholas Herbert.

Designer David Netto - well-known for his baby furniture line - outfitted the children's bedroom in a New York apartment with a vintage bench from Aero. It seems to smile beneath a pair of photographs by Jeffrey Milstein of two jets headed for the sky.

Benjamin Moore's Madison Avenue zaps the walls of this preteen's Delaware bedroom, designed by Jodi Macklin, which has a headboard upholstered in Canvastec from Arabel and an Abrielle bedspread. The curtain and bedskirt fabrics are from Osborne & Little.

6. Pink Drama
In a very theatrical Los Angeles, California, home designed by Mary McDonald, the only pastel room is a young girl's bedroom. McDonald used a bold acid green as the accent color, giving a hint of drama to connect the room to the rest of the house.
