The convenience and functionality of smartphones was unthinkable ten years ago, but now we can hardly remember how we lived without email, texting, music, the Internet, and a camera constantly at our fingertips. But as awesome as our mobile phones are, they can still benefit from the following five accessories, which make them even more useful.
POPA Camera Button
POPA
Anyone who has tried taking a picture with an iPhone knows the button at the bottom of the screen can be tricky to hit while you're trying to hold the camera still. The POPA ($80) plugs into the bottom of the phone and gives you a nice sturdy grip and a big red button to press to snap your photo. It also allows you to mount the phone to a tripod, should you need to. Genius!

Bluetooth Keyboard
Bluetooth Keyboard
As cool as iPhones are, their keyboards can leave a bit to be desired. The Bluetooth keyboard add-on ($35 from ThinkGeek) attaches like a basic phone case but slides out to reveal a wider keyboard that connects to your phone via Bluetooth technology.
Microphone Speaker
Microphone Speaker
When you get inspired to to instantly download and listen to a favorite jam, you don't want to listen to it from your phone's tinny built-in phone speaker. Instead, reach into your bag and pull out this awesome microphone-shaped speaker ($24, in your choice of silver or gold, from Karmaloop). It works with any phone or MP3 player with a standard jack!
Car USB Charger
Griffin Powerjolt
These days most electronic devices charge via USB, so instead of buying a separate car charger for your phone, iPod, satellite radio, and GPS device, simply install the Griffin Powerjolt USB charger ($8 from Amazon) into your car's 12-volt outlet. Stash a couple USB cords in your glove box and your devices will never run out of power!

iPhone Photo Printer
Photo Printer
As much as we love the convenience of digital cameras in our phones, there's something we miss about printing out physical copies of our photos. The iPhone photo printer ($160 from Hammacher-Schlemmer) works without a computer to print high-quality prints in a matter of seconds. If you're not an iPhone user, the device also works with Android phones and iPads via a mini USB cable.
