Ryan so-hot-he-barely-needs-a-last-name Gosling and Eva Mendes are acting very together these days, making out in Parisian cemeteries and holding hands at the airport. It's safe to say that their public display means that they're moving into boyfriend/girlfriend territory. But for us not-so-famous types, the situation is not always as black and white as getting our photo in print.

Waiting for the guy you're dating to fess up and tell you that he wants to be exclusive can be excruciating, sort of like waiting for your manicure to dry. (Is it me or does that feel like the longest ten minutes of your life?) Sitting him down and asking him outright sure sounds like a good idea, but a lot of us are gun shy when it comes to finding out where we stand. Here are 6 signs that you're the only one for him.
1. You spend the night together…then the day after that…then the night after that.
Date nights have no beginning and no end. And when it's finally time to leave, the goodbye is prolonged with a hot and steamy make-out session.
2. He calls you to check in, not just meet up.
Maybe he just texts "hi" to let you know your on his mind. Better yet, he calls you to ask about your meeting with your boss or how your doctor appointment went. Then it's clear he's really thinking about you, and not just your banging hot bod (OK, maybe both).
3. He wants to know things about you.
Your opinion matters to him, and when you speak he really listens. He's interested in the stories you tell him, even the one about you running away when you were five, and even better, he references it at a later date.

4. He leaves a toothbrush at your house or gives you his keys to his apartment.
It's an old trick, but one that speaks volumes about where a guy's head is at. If he insists on having a toothbrush at yours or makes room for your contact solution in his bathroom, he's planning on having you around for a while. The ante is upped when he hands you a set of his keys. It's his way of saying that his house, aka heart, is open to you.
5. He takes your side no matter what.
Of course you're right most of the time. But even when you aren't, he'll empathize with where you are coming from and, perhaps, even gently try to show you the error of your ways. When it comes down to it, he's on your team and wants you to know it.
6. He introduces you to his parents.
There may be no bigger step for a guy than bringing the girl he's dating to meet his parents, especially when he no longer lives close to home. When a man takes you to meet his the first loves of his life, including the woman who means the most to him, you can rest assured he thinks you're pretty darn special.
