7 Super Cool Ways to Reuse an Old Suitcase
I don't see them at the thrift store that much, but when I do, I snatch them up. I have a few in my stash and (gulp!) have never done anything with them. They are holding craft supplies, but I recently realized that these suitcases could be so much more. I did a little investigative work and was surprised to find so many upcycled suitcase projects out there. People are geniuses! One that I loved (and felt I could quickly do) was this suitcase bookshelf. You can revamp the suitcases before you make the bookshelf, or you can just keep them as is for a cool vintage look. 1. Pet Bed
Remove one side of an old suitcase, then find a pillow that fills the bottom to make a cushy pet bed.

2. Coffee Table
If you can use a power drill, then you can add legs to the bottom of a suitcase and turn it into a table. The best part is that you have additional storage built in.

3. Suitcase Lounger
You can make this chair, but you'll need some sewing skills to make the cushions comfortable enough to sit in.

4. Rolling Bar
A larger suitcase (or trunk) would be perfect for turning into a bar - you will need to use a jigsaw to cut out the front to make the door.

5. Portable Dollhouse
This ingenious suitcase uses inserts to make different rooms for the doll it holds inside. But beware, sewing skills required.

6. Night Stand
You won't need tools for this project. Simply stack the suitcases (you might want to glue them for stability) and add a mirror on top.

7. Supplies Holder
For those who travel with craft supplies and/or use a lot of small items, this revamp is perfect! The clear containers are glued to magnets and attach to a cookie sheet installed in the suitcase lid.
