The 7 Tiniest Homes Ever (The Cutest Way to Downsize)

Amazing tiny homes you won't believe are real!Amazing tiny homes you won't believe are real! Some people have chosen to live out their childhood dream in a tree house while others have found a way to keep their life on the road. You couldn't knock this lifestyle if you tried because they are all saving money, helping the environment and seem to be completely happy (if not happier) with their choice. Although I don't think I could ever do it (my fabric alone would take up 3/4 of the house) a part of me is very envious of their willingness to downsize. Do you think you could make the big move to a tiny home? Check out these 7 amazingly tiny houses and then decide...

We have had these for many years they are called trailers. Boy when the granola folks and the hipsters get a hold of something they really do try to redefine it. Oh and the rich people call them condos, they just have a few sq feet more and a great city worth of places to go. I'm not saying you need a McMansion, but 1500 sq ft goes a long way towards not wanting to kill your mate.

You're funny. I'm a "hipster" I guess, and you're right. It is amusing, alright. Thank heavens we're all a friendly bunch, you and us.

I have priced some of these and they cost more than a regular 1500 sft. site built home. Not to mention you have to buy the land to put them on.

Aww! They obviously wouldn't work for two people or more, or horders, but they are cute!

I think hoarders would make this work. They would just hoard little things like pencil erasers, cat toys, fruit...

They really are precious, and I agree about the hoarders, lol.

Having an actual bathroom INSIDE the house would make them bigger. Then people wouldn't think they were so cute and adorable.

There's a hole in the floor of the tree house. Gotta fertilize the tree after all.

I like the tiny homes. Why not get what we need and save a fortune. If you don't need a large home you would be smart to buy small , if would work for me.

How many millions will these trendy small homes cost us once they catch on?
      • P 3 months ago
I'm sure you could buy one for under a million in a less desirable neighborhood.

We tend to be pulled back to our roots for some reason don't we? Our anglo forefathers lived in single room log cabins with a loft....the native Americans lived in TeePees and Adobies. They got along just fine.

      take any one of them!

I've lived in a crammed, oops, I mean tiny home. I went half crazy due to the confinement. The ones in this article might be cute but, consider the psychological effects the impact of limited physical mobility afforded by one of these things before you decide to spend the huge amount of money some of these tiny home builders want and at least have a nice 'for sale' sign painted and ready to put up when you do go crazy.

Those ceiling tiles in the Morroccan one are expensive! At Lowes to do a ceiling like that would cost well over a grand. I wanted to put those in our kitchen but the last time I checked the price of them they were like $20 a sq. ft. tile, and the tiles are made out of flimsy embossed plastic-type stuff. Rip off.
