Focal Table
One well-decorated, centrally-located table goes a long way towards establishing a theme. This was the focal table at the party and was filled with delicious food and lovely little fairy tale woodland details. Decor was pulled from items that my friend already had - little woodland figurines, mushrooms, pinecones - as well as easily crafted items like craft paper banners stamped with various messages. She made these pretty tissue paper pom poms and had a friend make this amazing cake.

Recently Fern and I attended a birthday party for my friend Echo's little girl. She loves all things princess, but instead of simply going the typical princess route, she got creative and opted for a fairy tale theme. This satisfied her daughter's love of princesses without having to make the event overly frilly. All of the details that were taken into consideration were lovely, and while this was a 4th birthday party, I definitely think the theme and decor would be appropriate for even younger children, so I wanted to share! Hope this provides you with a bit of birthday party inspiration!
