[Gentle Season Four spoilers ahead. Do not proceed with this post if you have not yet viewed last season's "Red Wedding" episode.]
Despite the fact that Game of Thrones hosted the most disastrous wedding in television history-at least from the Stark point of view-the medieval fantasy series is valiantly planning another nuptial ceremony for its fourth season, which premieres this spring on HBO. When we spoke with cast member Natalie Dormer, who plays Margaery Tyrell-the cunning noblewoman currently engaged to King Joffrey, the crossbow-wielding Justin Bieber of King's Landing-the British actress hinted that her character requires a "new kind of dress" for a "particularly big event" next season. Of the wedding gown, which was created by Game of Thrones costume designer Michele Clapton, Dormer revealed, "The results were just stunning. The creation of my wedding dress was like something out of haute couture. It was just incredible. I don't think any of the fans or the Vanity Fair readers will be disappointed."

Today the author of the Game of Thrones book series, George R. R. Martin, pitches in with his own wedding teaser, confirming that Margaery will indeed marry Joffrey next season. "It's going to be the wedding of the year," Martin promises TV Guide before hauntingly adding, "and as memorable in its own way as our wedding last season. It's what the fans call the Purple Wedding, based on the color of the wine, which plays a big part." (Unable to curb our curiosity, we devoted 10 minutes' worth of frantic "Purple Wedding" Googling and learned that this nickname is indeed appropriate.)
Martin adds that the wedding scenes "look spectacular" and that "[t]he bride's dress incorporates roses, there are 77 courses at the dinner feast, and there's some wonderful halftime entertainment." As long as it does not involve slitting Tyrion Lannister's throat, or harming him in any way, we should be fine.
