Use this DIY doughnut decorating trick to make the day even sweeter.

Commemorate National Doughnut Day (June 6) by upgrading store-bought sweets with this idea, courtesy of Pittsburgh blogger Erin Kelly. Top a deep-fried confection with white icing. Before it firms up (about 20 minutes), add bright sprinkles in a "stitched" pattern. (Hint: Use tweezers!) Take a minute to admire your handiwork before chowing down.
