PROBLEM: Scuff marks
THE FIX: Buff with a banana.
Rub the inside of the peel over silverware, leather shoes and leather furniture. Wipe with a soft cloth. Be sure to test on a small, inconspicuous section first.
PROBLEM: Messy fingerprints
THE FIX: Raid the bread box.
Remove marks from painted walls or non-washable wallpaper by rubbing the area with a slice of white bread.

PROBLEM: Dingy stainless steel
THE FIX: Give it a gleam.
A staple in most garages, WD-40 also works wonders on stainless steel. Just spray and rub with a cloth for a spotless shine.
PROBLEM: Dirty mirrors
THE FIX: Foam away grime.

THE FIX: Chalk it up.
Draw over a collar stain with a piece of white chalk. Let it soak up the grease for a few minutes, then dust off excess chalk and launder as usual.

THE FIX: Pass the condiments.
Shine small copper items by dipping a cotton swab in ketchup and applying to the object. Wipe it off, then polish with a cotton cloth.
PROBLEM: Grimy stove
THE FIX: Detail your cook space.
Rub a thin veneer of car wax on your stove top, then wipe it off. The wax allows future cooking spills to lift off more easily.
