Think about it if you never had to shave again. You'd never have to think twice about wearing a skirt without tights. You'd never have to worry about the embarrassing hair on your upper lip. This fantasy world where you could be completely hairless and free of razors (and wax) may be a reality sooner than you think, according to a recent article posted on cosmeticsdesign.com.

Apparently, a team of scientists at the University of Pennsylvania have discovered a gel that can stop unwanted hair growth. The gel contains the antiviral agent cidofovir, which according to the articles, "Induces local alopecia when topically applied." Translation: It gets rid of hair when used at the right percentages.

I don't know about you, but I'd much rather erase my bikini line or leg hair once and for all than have to tame it with a razor every few days or allow some stranger with a bowl of hot wax to rip it off every month. The product definitely has a long way to until it ever reaches the market, but in the meantime at least we can hold on to the hope that there is a happy, hairless future in our reach.
