Dr. Phil McGraw is known for his tell-it-like-it-is approach, and he's got proof that getting real gets results. The psychologist, television host, Oprah Winfrey All-Star, and creator of awesome catchphrases like "No matter how thin you make a pancake, it's still got two sides," "No dog ever peed on a moving car," and, of course, "It's time to get real!" finally took his own advice and got real about the asking price for his Beverly Hills mansion. The result? A pending sale.
After watching his home sit on the market for 8 months at $16.5 million, McGraw made the decision to lower the price by 15% in early March. Now, less than a month later, AOL Real Estate reports that he's already found himself a buyer.
The Mediterranean-style manor, built in 2001, includes 8 bedrooms, 7 baths, a theater, gym, billiard room, and, what the listing description describes as a "sensational master retreat". The residence spans over half an acre and includes a lavish pool, lush landscaping, an outdoor dining room, and a separate 2 bedroom guest house.
