Oft times in people's lives they request prayers from God but they're disappointed when their prayers are not answered according to their wishes. They'll pray for one thing but God responds differently from what they requested by answering them with something different. Do you think this causes people to question God's reply to their prayers; thus, causing them to doubt and question God's faithfulness to them? I've heard people make a comment that God did not answer their prayers as they had requested; and saying, "God must not be listening to me anymore?" (Ephesians 6:14 thru 18)
People when we pray, it's essential to take the 'shield of faith' and believe God has heard the prayers and he will answer them to best gratify the requirements for his planned future for his people. People we need to pray like God's word tells us by praying with supplication and having faith God will supply their prayer needs to best fit the life he's chosen for them. (Ephesians 6:16)
Why do people pray if they're going to 'doubt' God's word and his promises to them? We need to pray with faith by believing and realizing the prayer will be answered in a way God has planned for our life. God has rule over his plan for each and every person on this earth and he has the knowledge of his plan for all. (Ephesians 6:16-24)
I can give you an example of how God works in people's lives; my husband and I owned a gentleman's farm in southwest Virginia after we retired. We had planned to live there for the remainder of our lives; but for some reason, we became unhappy and there was this desire to sell our place and go back to the Washington, D.C. area where we had lived for many years.
Shortly after our return to the D.C. area, my husband suffered severe heart pains and was taken to a hospital in Manassas, Virginia and then was transferred to NOVA Fairfax Hospital's Heart Unit, where it was discovered he had numerous blockages in the veins leading to his heart and the main vein had a 95% blockage. He was operated on for a quadruple heart-by-pass by one of the best heart specialists and in one of the best heart units in the United States. This was in early 2001 and he is responding greatly with the help of his doctors.
In my heart, I know God guided us back to Northern Virginia to the NOVA Fairfax Hospital's Heart Unit where he could receive the best care for him to survive this major heart surgery and also for a major leg by-pass surgery which is also a tedious and dangerous surgery too. God put us in a place where my husband could get the best trained and knowledgeable doctors and hospital available where he could have his surgeries. I'm also aware in my heart of hearts; if we'd stayed in southwest Virginia my husband's chances for survival would have been lower.
I have a great faith in God's word; and I do believe, by trusting and through faith in God's interjection into our lives causing a move back to the Northern Virginia area has had a huge impact on our lives.
People we need to have faith in the plan God has chosen for every one of us by believing in him and his word and having the faith we're supposed to have according to his word. When we pray and ask for something, know it will be asked according to God's plan.
