The dog days of summer may be over, but there's still plenty of time left to sip summery cocktails and soak up a patio before the leaves begin to fall. With Labor Day being the unofficial closing of the summer season, we want to help you celebrate with a frozen bang.

Sangria is a warm weather staple; the fruity wine-based libation looks gorgeous in a glass and is, relatively speaking, a "healthier" cocktail. Traditional sangria is a combination of wine, other liqueurs, and marinated with slices of fruit for an extended period of time. While that's a rewarding process to undertake if you've got some time on your hands, our Talenti Frozen Sangria Swirl is a fast and delicious recipe that will knock you and your guest's socks off. At around 225 calories per one-cup serving, well, just thank us later.

If you haven't tried Talenti's sorbetto, remove yourself from the rock you've been living under. Combining the elements of Italian gelato and Argentinian helado, Talenti's sorbetto is dairy free, fat free, and made with pure cane sugar. Whenever you come across a product that has an ingredient list you can count on two hands or less-with contents you can actually pronounce-it's a good thing. This recipe calls for Lisbon Lemon and Roman Raspberry sorbetto, and guess what? They're made with lemons and raspberries. (Novel idea, right?) Talenti sources the most choice ingredients from all over the world, and the result of that raw simplicity is a decadent and creamy frozen treat. The sorbetto is also gluten free and Kosher if you needed more convincing.

And while the sorbetto would be a delicious treat on its own, we throw in some wine, blend it together, and whip up the easiest frozen sangria ever?

For the wine, we prefer Kings Ridge wines, made with grapes both native and unique to the majestic Willamette Valley in Oregon. This particular recipe calls for their Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris. With flavorful notes of raspberry, chocolate, cinnamon, and smoke, the Noir is rich and vibrant, the perfect complement for rich Roman Raspberry flavor. The Gris is well textured and tangy, with flavor notes of pear and melon, and works to mellow and sweeten the frozen sangria; its bright notes quite perfect to blend with the Lisbon Lemon. Kings Ridge has received stellar marks from Wine Enthusiast and the affordable price makes their vino a steal for the everyday wine lover.

This drink has the appearance and palatability of a trendy craft cocktail, but you don't have to be a mixologist to make it. This three-step cocktail recipe will turn your last summer party into the one they remember most. And remember, the host gets a spoonful of sorbetto before blending and the first sip of fresh sangria right after!
