    Here we go again

What is wrong with our so-called leaders, both here in Cali and in D.C.. What is so hard to understand? The state, the whole country needs money. We all need for the banks to start acting like banks and let the money go. They've been given our money to stimulate the economy, that's right our money and yet they stand like deers caught in the headlights frozen along with the money and the credit. What was the point in giving them that first 350 billion dollars if they are afraid to move and now they are getting ready to give them even more, Lord I hope that this time there is at least one person watching the money.
The new economic stimulus package is finally squeezing through the senate with the republicans kicking and screaming all the way. "Too much wasteful spending, too much pork, needs more tax cuts, well, that idea with the tax cuts to stimulate the economy was one of"Li'l Bush's idea and guess what?, it didn't work then and it won't work now. As the old saying goes,"you have to spend money to make money". We don't have time to play the usual games that the repubs like to play, not now. They want to take the time to examine every letter and punctuation in the document. Where were they as the economy started it's death spiral, where were they when the first 350 billion was handed over to the banks without any questions. I'll tell you where they were, they were busy trying to make money on before the housing bubble burst, busy deregulating us into the toilet. Now here we stand staring at what we think is the light at the end of the tunnel. Unfortunately, that light that we're staring at is a run-away train and if we don't do something quick.......need I say more?
The same situation here in California is even worse, our Governor seems to be determined to destroy our education system. His answer to every financial short-fall in this state is first cut money to education and now he is forcing people who can least afford it, state employees, to take days off from work. You don't prune a tree from the roots up, you prune a tree from the top down. I'm just saying.
