    Mercury Poisoning: Jeremy Piven-
    This week the "Entourage" star dropped out of Broadway show, "Speed-the-Plow," due to "shocking levels" of mercury in his system, supposedly from eating too much sushi. Playwright David Mamet joked that Piven was leaving to "pursue a career as a thermometer," which is about how seriously we took his excuse. less

    This week we have inducted Jeremy Piven into the celebrity hall of shame for the worst, "the dog ate my homework" type excuses we've become all to familiar with hearing. We do have to give Piven credit though for his defense, mercury poisoning, which was rather creative. Call us skeptical, but we call B.S. on these 10 alleged excuses.
