Here it is Friday the 22nd of June already and after making it past the "longest day of the year yesterday the 21st, I was so proud to be able to explain to my wife and Filipino Kids that here in the Philippines it means very little cause it is always warm but, where I come from in the United States (Iowa) it means the beginning of summer. I then had to explain that each of the 4 equinoxes meant something different ..... the start of Spring on March 21st, Summer on June 21st, Fall on September 21st and Winter on December 21st and they occur every 4 months.

Today I was reflecting how hard my wife works to keep the family's clothes clean and the meals cooked and the dog clean and Jeremia, our "special" child, taught. .All that plus she works part time, that sometimes seems like full-time at CLF (Christian Learning Foundation) a Christian school pretty close to where we live.
I try and set a good example to her and the kids by not getting upset at the many little things that would many times upset the average American father. Things like talking with your mouth full of food, Talking so loud you can be heard by the passers by outside and always asking for money.

I figure if I try and set a good example it will eventually rub off to them. My wife gets pretty stressed out at times and I try to remind her that we can't control things that are uncontrollable. I just stick to my principals and remember what my Mother said "This too will pass!"

I am able to manage the stress that tries to invade my life by letting it go in one ear and out the other keeping only the sensible and important things. I also like to work on this computer even though it is getting harder and harder to see without proper glasses. I manage !.
