YOUR FRIENDS' ACTIVITY

    My boy

He's really coming along. Or should I say, I'm really coming along. This afternoon I took him out and worked with him a while while Wayne looked on approvingly. I didn't hardly stuff up at all! I was so proud.

I haven't named him yet. I have a list of names, some of which we both like. I figure I'll go through them again and delete the ones we definitely don't agree on for whatever reason. That should leave us with only about 205 names which will narrow it down nicely.

I thought I could get my boy to pick. Write the names on pieces of paper and put them in a bucket, then let him sniff around. I'll name him whichever name sticks to his nose.

    Well... it could work!

He looks so handsome in Wally's bridle with its silver bits and the western saddle. I should have taken a photo. TIme enough for that I guess. He has this habit of nibbling on my sleeve as I lead him. Its cute. As long as he doesn't nip hard. Tonight after working him a while I ended with some bonding time. Hugs and kisses and just fussing over him. I think he actually recognises he's mine cause he'll come to me before he'll go to Wayne. Though he'll go to the food bucket before either of us!

But it hasn't been all fun and games. I had a fall at work today. Or rather a bowl-over-and-roll. I was lunging after one client who was about to grab another's food when another staff member, running from another direction, bowled me over. It could have been really ugly. Instead it was just painful. My head still hurts and so does my lower back from the jolt.

And I'd been worried about falling off a horse.

And thats from a lot higher! If it hurts so much to fall off my own feet... sheesh. I better get some superglue for my saddle.

However, there's no rest for the wicked or the horse owner cause my boy needs handling and work, so thats what I did.

I'm not complaining. I find being out in the paddock with the horses to be fun, relaxing and invigorating. Its a great way to unwind after a busy day. And I love spending that time with Wayne too. He's just great with horses and I love watching him work with them and I'm glad that I can learn from him.

(That should keep his family reading this happy!)

Anyhow, enough of the mushy stuff. Lets get onto something more fun. I bought some old, broken down, rusty, 60s style outdoor chairs for the cement pad with the trellis. I love them. They're going to hold pot plants.

Since our yard gets so wet in winter with all the rain there are quite a few plants that I dont want to put into the ground. I figured a collection of potted flowers in one part of the yard will create a pretty vignette with rusty stuff and the old chairs.

Then again I love old junk. Luckily for me, so does Wayne!

I now have a ton of new plants to put in the yard. There's this great old guy near work who propagates plants and sells them cheap so I have about 30 of them waiting to go in the ground.

I'm going to be really busy!

I was just thinking that the other day as I came in from being with the horses. Right now I love life. Morning and evening I get to cuddle horses, I watch TV with poodles all over me and at night I have a big snuggly man to cosy up to. Ahhhhhhhhhh But just to not tempt fate, there are tons of things which could be better and so much work to do around here and a huge debt. So there. :)

What a pretty boy! What more could a woman want - a horse, poodles, a farm and a good man to share it with. You are a lucky woman!

All this 'up and moving' stuff - working with horsey-boy, planting things - is going to make you lose weight so you'll be all svelte and gorgeous when you go to Greece! While I miss our emails (and boy, do I ever!), I am glad you're out and about and really MOVING, girl!

BTW, the look in his eye in the photo above spoke "Ramone" to me, rolling the R and using Antonio Banderas's voice. LOL
