Before the prosecutor begins, can I understand why only the mother of this child is being tried and not the father as well?
Prosecutor:
Men are men. Some can be very irresponsible and insenstive. Men can splash spermatozes all over the world and deny the consequential pregnancies... that's no longer news. On the otherhand, it's unacceptable for a mother to give away her own child...it's natural law. A woman has to go against 5million natural instincts to do that. Even if she succeeds because of undeniable reasons, a new breed of instincts will surface, including the instinct she is reacting to now: moving in to the local area where the child is growing for the same reasons she is giving now "To be close to her son".
It would have been better if this baby was taken away at birth when very strong bonds had not been established especially in the direction of the mother from the child. At two, that kid knows and calls mama, mama. He knows under whose skirts to run for safety. You can really look in your child's eyes and tear away from him? And now he is a superstar, you are is mother! Wanderment!
Defense Lawyer:
I understand exactly ur point, but I cannot judge her so cruelly. I have learned so many things in life.....people make decisions not because they want to, but because they have to. The mother must have thought it well and place love and child first before giving him up for adoption. Mario would not have been a superstar if he were raised by his bio mom. Success is when opportunity meets preparedness...I feel for the poor mom...I wish he Mario will realize that he is what he is today because of the difficult decision his mom had to make and live with before now and forever.
Let us picture a couple without papers with a two year old sick son, 20 years ago in italy. Now lets picture those social workers walking around in the camp and advising this couple to give up their son or he may die. Did they really just advise or did they threaten? TNo papers have accurately describe the situation that took place. Anyone who has kids shall know that no mother shall willingly give up her kid (especially after having put in the two most important years).
Prosecutor:
In Mario's mother's shoes, I will more readily give up that child for adoption for his famous naughtiness and temper tantrums (which i find sometimes very adorable and comic) than those silly reasons.
For an African, adoption or giving your child away to be adopted is a strange concept. Our support system in Africa is extensive. You can bare children without a cent and your family: from cousins, aunts, uncles, grandmas, great great grandparents and even friends, will help bring them up. Besides, as an African mother does NOT save herself in saving her child. We are taught to "die" for our kids. Even if you have to die to your integrity and sell that thing. Only one thing holds Woman at gunpoint: her child's life. And at gunpoint, Woman cannot lack what to sell.
Mario is who he is (a superstar) by default of his talent and not because he chose to be or would have readily traded it for genuine family happiness. There is recorded evidence of this from an interworld call I earlier placed to Michael Jackson and Whitney Houston.

Did you also get recorded evidence that Rose has refused any money from Mario? That she insists on using the bus and maintain her meagre wage? How does that make her the opportunist you are trying to paint her?
Prosecutor:
Let me answer that with a little story. A young girl took her school friends to her father's supermarket and her father told them to take whatever they wanted in the shop. While the others rushed to load their trolley, one of them stood there by him. The father asked her: "Why are you not choosing anything?" She answered: "I have made my choice already... I choose you". And they got married and the moral of the story is that: If you win the owner of the material things, you do not get now and then chunks of the things he has..but ALL the shop and its contents belongs to you. You get my drift? Why do girls starve themselves for weeks in the name of weight loss? It's the end result that makes the sacrifice worthwhile... so don't be too quick to conclude there!
The story about poverty and his ailment as a reason for the adoption doesn't make much sense. Whether the biological parents were illegal aliens at the time of his birth is also not an issue. There are support structures for these kind of situations especially when it comes to children. Mario would have not died, his biological parents were given a set of options by the social worker and to my mind, they chose the easiest option. Adoption would mean less hassle on them, they would get on the feet and could always have other children(which they have). So because he is as celebrated as the super mario nintendo game. the lady decides to find him. I still fall back to the question...Even if she was forbidden to see him, in our natural African blood, the biological mothers of kids no matter the circumstances under which they lose their child to another, are reputed to stalk that child forever. They are never far away. They are there to see him enter the school gate. They are there to see him play in the yard. They are there, everywhere the kid is. Though hidden, they are there. They do not install themselves next to the kid at this point in his life when there will be so many questions.
Whatever her motives for her stationing are, whyever she gave the child away and is coming back now. is the business of her and her family and the Balotelli family. This debate can take all day because everyone is convinced of their own opinions in this sensitive situation, and due to experience and/or emotions, cannot be convinced otherwise. The court's decision therefore is to acquit Mamma Mario of these charges and release her to her quest to convince the main judge and decision-maker of the situation: Mario Balotello.
