Onward Christian Soldiers!

The mayor of Anchorage wants a gazillian dollar port project and wants our property taxes to pay for it. The governor of Alaska wants a gazillian dollar gas line and wants whatever the state has to pay for it. The president wants to continue to listen to his generals and fight wars all over creation. Onward Christian soldiers! I'd rather do what the soldiers did in World War I--sit in the trenches with the Germans, drink beer, smoke cigarettes, and play cards. Do I understand something about human nature and what we'd rather do then construct enormous projects and fight stupid wars for politicians' political power assumption?
