I'm amazed at Randy Travis` constant escapade's here of late, and I ask myself, "What in the world is happening to Randy Travis who has been on the top charts of the Country Music Charts for several years."
I've been a fan of his music, and especially his gospel music, since he first came out on the country charts. If alcohol is his problem, I would hope that Randy will take a serious look at himself and all of his escapade's and come before the news media and make some statements about what's causing his terrible problems. I might add, "Is it the people you're involving yourself with Travis?"
I just got a message on the Internet at http://www.tmz.com/2012/08/24/randy-travis-church-fight-drunk-intoxicated/?icid=maing-... Stating that the Plano Police Department told TMZ that Travis had been cited for simple assault. The officials also told TMZ they believed Travis was the primary aggressor in the fight. The police indicated there was a family argument taking place between a man and a woman when Randy got involved. Another man also got involved in the fight, and police say, it wasn't the husband.
The article indicated that TMZ learned the singer was involved in a "fight" in a church parking lot (of all places) in Texas early today. The Law enforcement sources said cops had responded to the church around 1:00 a.m. when they received a tip about two men fighting in the parking lot. Sources were told Travis was taken to the hospital after the fight. A source also stated that Travis appeared to be extremely intoxicated. Supposedly, the fight was over a girl.
I cannot understand why such a talented and intelligent man like Travis cannot realize that he has serious problem and he needs to seek medical help for them. He needs to take a serious look at his life and take the appropriate actions to turn his life around.
It was reported in this article that Travis has had serious problems with alcohol. He's been arrested for DWI earlier this month and the police found him naked at the scene of a car crash then. Travis was also busted by police for public intoxication in February 2012; and of all places again at a different church parking lot. I'm sure most of the world has seen his pictures posted all over the Internet, television, and other news media sources.
I personally hope Travis will take some drastic actions to get help immediately. His talent in music is such a great art and it would be ashamed if he let his fans down and continued to embarrass himself and those who've loved and respected him so much.
