Sweepstakes, Contest Why Bother

Entering a sweepstake or contest can be a lot of fun. Especially with the antisipation of maybe just maybe you will be the lucky winner. But it just doesn't happen that way. You know if you go for the "Big Prize", you won't be able to take it. Examples would be win a new kitchen or home renovation, well if you don't own your home and rent, what good would it do to renovate a rental. It don't belong to you, oh, sure the landowner, would approve it, why not, once it is done they can raise your rent or move you right on out. Or, a new car, you don't have any money to keep your old honda going, how you going to pay taxes on a new car? Or, you could win a trip somewhere including airfare, well if your afraid of flying, why bother? Oh, sure you can enter to win some of the smaller prizes, but it seems like those are the most likely ones you would have a chance to win, but the odds are greater than the chances.........

Yet, here I go entering yet another contest or sweepstake. I know the odds are against me, I know others are more worthy, or maybe they just need to win, more than I do. Someone has to win, right? I think why not me? Then I feel ashame of this feeling, because there is probably someone out there that needs to win more than I do. What I'm not thinking about is, chances are someone is going to win, who probably already has one, (whatever it might be your entering for), or they have the money to go out and buy it anyway. In the end, I guess it doesn't matter, you know when you enter, your not going to win, but the thought that just maybe!!!! What makes it worth entering all these contest, etc, is the fact that if it is not you, then at least someone will win.......and really, good luck to all. If it is meant for you to win, then you will...Right?

So, to everyone who enters, I do wish you luck, and I hope it is what you need the most..........

As for me, a new car, would be nice, but i couldn't pay the taxes, new home, will never happen, renovations, I rent and well cash, pay some bills, yeah, that would help a lot.............

But in any case, good luck to all of you, may your hopes and dreams come true, and may you keep trying, that is part of the fun..........Life is what we make of it, and well, I trust in my God, to help me through the rough spots, and just to lean on.....
