TaNisha Webb at the NAACP 2012 Convention
When you have worked in something for so long, you begin to find a need in things that you are familiar with. You take your skills, along with reading up on additional information, and begin creating options for those who also wish to do the same. I can say the same for TaNisha Webb. I met TaNisha at the Authors Pavilion at the NAACP 2012 Convention. She's a very uplifting person who supports every author she comes across. Never in a million years did she imagine that she too would also become an author herself.
Founder of KC Girlfriends Bookclub, TaNisha understood the meaning of helping authors reach their readers. With planning events and book signings, she recognized both the good and the bad in event planning, and created a way for all other planners to make an event worthwhile. In her first published work, "The Ultimate Book Club Experience" TaNisha gives insight on how to create a successful book club event. However, as she explains, her novel is not just geared towards book clubs. "This book gives anyone who is involved in event planning, an opportunity to build a successful event for all." Oh, but TaNisha did not stop there, she also created a magazine geared towards book clubs entitled, "Book Club 101" along with an online university geared specifically for book clubs with articles by fellow club owners. The Book Club University website offers "eCourses, weekly vlogs, online conferences, and helpful book club resources in a structured manner for book clubs or anyone wanting to create a book club."
I recognized a lot in TaNisha with just that bit of time being around her. Her experience in the medical field shows that she is willing to help whoever is in need without a second thought. A very outgoing woman willing to assist in spreading the word and knowhow, TaNisha is definitely one to look out for. Before saying our goodbyes, she left me with one more mental jewel. Utilize the gifts that have been given to you in order to help build up others. Nothing is ever as hard as we may think. It all takes perseverance and determination, regardless of how long it takes to complete your first literary work of art.
TaNisha's Motivational Quotes:
