You'd think that a huge show like "The Good Wife" would celebrate reaching 100 episodes by having a huge party for its cast and crew, but the production decided the best way to commemorate this milestone was to give back.
"The Good Wife" cast (including Julianna Margulies, Archie Panjabi, Matt Czuchry, Zach Grenier, Josh Charles and Chris Noth) and its crew visited the Far Rockaways in New York to help rebuild homes that were damaged by Hurricane Sandy, which caused widespread damage to the area this time last year.
In addition to sharing their home repair skills, everyone on the production, from the stars to the grips, came together to raise more than $77,000 for the St. Bernard Project, a non-profit organization that helps communities recover after disasters.
"We knew that 100 episodes is a milestone, so how best to reach back and say thank you to New York for letting us shoot here, and giving us such an incredible community to be a part of?" Margulies told "ET". "People are still suffering and don't have homes, so we're hoping that this just sparks the light again on a really tragic situation here."
