Waka Flocka Flame's Superstardom on the Rise with Waka and Alien Warr Leading the Way

Waka and Alien Warr Waka Flocka Flame

Who was the masked drummer on stage at Radio One's Summer Music Concert recently? His name is Alien Warr, power drummer for Waka Flocka Flame. It is no doubt that Waka clearly made the right choice in selecting Warr to join his group to take the overall performance and stage presence from great to "wow" factor.

It is a fact that Waka Flocka Flame is one of HipHop's most popular success stories riding a fast paced momentum of sold out shows, Source/ Vibe promotions, and a recent explosive performance on one of the toughest shows to get a performance spot on,ABC's Jimmy Kimmel Show. Watching Waka Flocka Flame's performance on Kimmel's live stage, I could see why Jimmy chose them. I couldn't help but keep my eyes on Alien Warr and Waka. Their mutual chemistry on stage is incredible to watch and needless to say totally entertaining. They took the crowd to a complete celebration mood and happy frenzy with Waka's hit single "Rooster In My Rari", a total party song with Waka flipping his hair, high fiving, and Warr wearing different masks, playing blindfolded all the while keeping the beat exposively powerful in his own right.

With the crossover audience of Kimmel going nuts over the Waka/Warr chemistry, it is apparent that there is something being born before our eyes that we need to pay close attention to.

I would even say that Waka and Warr could easily pair up with Joe Perry of Aerosmith and bring "Back In The Saddle" crossed over to HipHop infused with rock and easily soar that recording to Number One on Billboard Charts.

Waka/Warr can do urban with ease as well as reign in crossover effortlessly taking on rock infused tunes with ridiculous success. I would even say that Waka/ Warr are like the White Stripes of HipHop in some ways because of their sheer talent on stage to create huge sound that jams like a huge group is present yet with pure respect for each other's unique style of performance in live settings. It works. It clicks with them easily and leaves the audience talking about their show a week or two later.

Alien Warr is Keith Moon-esque in his unpredictable style of creating new rhythms and sounds that make you want more. Waka is a power house performer with the ability to draw his crowd to their feet.

They are so good that even Rickey Smiley jumped on stage at the Radio One Fest to play Warr's drums on a few bars of a song with Warr conceding with respect to Smiley. When Warr returned to his set, he took the crowd to Mars with his light speed runs and entertaining physical acrobatics. Waka reigned on the microphone and took the crowd to the highest level at the festival than they ever imagined in pure party mode.

What's next for Waka/Warr? My first thought is Jack White, formerly of the White Stripes. Jack, if you're reading this, get with these guys and record a crossover Billboard hit that will never stop playing on the radio. Lorne Michaels, book them.
