Danny Green (31-4-0) will attempt to 'Return To Glory' when he takes on Pole, Krzysztof Wlodarczyk (45-2-1) for the WBC Cruiserweight title at Challenge Stadium in Perth on November 30, 2011 promoted by Green Machine.
Green lost his IBO belt to American, Antonio Tarver in July but is back training hard to become another world champion. The loss to Tarver by TKO was Green's first since losing to fellow Australia-Anthony Mundine in 2006.
There has been much discussion about how prepared Green's opponent will be mentally after Polish outlets reported that an unconscious Wlodarczyk was taken to hospital after deliberately overdosing on tablets following an argument with his wife in July.
Wlodarczyk won the title in May of 2010 and will make his third sefense against Green. His last fight was against Francisco Palacios in April where the Pole won in a 12 round split decision.
It promises to be an exciting fight with Danny Green the favourite to take victory at $1.28.
In the co-feature bout, Australian Super Featherweight prospect Will Tomlinson (17-0-1) will get his chance to fight for his first world title when he takes on Alan Herrera (26-3-0) for the IBO Super Featherweight title.
Tomlinson who has held the WBO Oriental Super Featherweight title was the number 1 challenger to Ricky Burns and his WBO world title earlier in the year but a fight never eventuated and Burns has since moved up to Lightweight.
Herrera of Mexico has only fought outside of his home country once (when he fought in Puerto Rico) and won his last fight in September 2011 when he defeated Julio Mendoza who retired with an eye injury after round 3.
On the undercard:
WBA Super World Featherweight champion-Chris John (45-0-2) will attempt to once again defend his title when he takes on Stanyslav Merdov (32-7-0). IBF champion Billy Dib is targeting a unification with John early in 2012 but nothing has eventuates so far with John's team wanting at least $700,000 to make the fight.
Daud Cino Yordan (27-2-0) of Indonesia takes on Frankie Archuleta (27-8-1) of New Mexico, America over 12 rounds for the vacant IBO Asia Pacific Featherweight Title.
Matt Garlett (6-1-0) will take on an opponent TBA over 6 rounds at Super Featherweight.
In the opening fight Anthony McCracken (13-5-1) takes on Shane Tilyard (5-5-0) over 6 rounds at Cruiserweight.
