Our Baby Boom generation was unfortunate to produce so many job seekers over the past 50 years that we had about two choices: either fight for "Lebensraum" (elbow room) and get shot all to hell in the wars, or else labor in a brutal job. Competition was so fierce that many of us, including myself, became disabled. Even if we could endeavor to complete college, the job market had no place for us. This human hell has not changed in fifty years. The only thing to do is be patient until enough baby boomers die off to open up the job market again. Until then, the rich and powerful have no intention to hire people unless they can make undue profits. This is the reason so many of us sit idle. We have second thoughts about getting involved in yet another brutal job. Ours is not the Age of Reasonableness.
