Saving Time and Money on School Shopping

    School supplies: colored pencils
    By Sittercity.com

Kids often dread back-to-school time because they don't like shuffling back into the classroom, spending time inside doing homework and following structured school-year routines that get in the way of having fun.

Parents, on the other hand, often dread back-to-school because of the toll it takes on their bank accounts and sanity.

That's why we thought now was a good time to offer our readers some tips to help them save money and save time on back-to-school shopping. Read on to help make your school shopping a little easier to handle this season.

      Well this stinks. =/
Honestly, as a grade school kid one of the things I ALWAYS looked forward was going school supply shopping after the first day and I knew what I needed. Yo, it was just tradition. I never overspent excessively (maybe $5 - $10 or something), but hey, it was just a fun way to start the year... don't take that fun away from the kids =(

In the state we live, we have a store called Dollar Tree. Everything is only a dollar. We bought enough school supplies with $50 dollars for a high schooler and her younger brother.

Buy your supplies in a school pack. Our school uses www.educationalproducts.com. You don't have to waste any time shopping. Everything you need is customized per the school's requests.

check out the ads for free after rebate, and free after ecb (like CVS). It makes a huge difference in what you spend, and if you don't end up needing it, a school would gladly take a donation of those items.

My parents do this. It works. Most of the time I go to get suplies alone for me and my brother.
