Summer is such a great season, isn't it? The temperatures are finally consistently warm, allowing you to go swimming and partake in all sorts of other outside activities anytime you want. But it is also a season where a lot of beauty mistakes seem to happen. When it is very hot and humid outside, your makeup just melts off your face and your hair frizzes all over. I know I have made my share of beauty mistakes. Here are three summer beauty mistakes I have made.
Creased eye shadow
My eye shadow has creased so many times in the summer that I've lost count. It used to drive me crazy because I spent a good part of my morning trying to perfect my eye shadow application. Then I started to learn about eye shadow primers and how they can make your eye shadow last all day. Once I started using it, I didn't have to deal with creased eye shadow anymore. If you are looking for a good eye shadow primer, I highly recommend Smashbox Photo Finish Lid Primer.
Frizzy hair
One of the worst parts about summer is having to deal with frizzy hair. It just looks so messy and unattractive. My hair is usually pretty easy to deal with on most days, but when it's humid or rainy out, look out. I've gotten so tired of dealing with frizzy hair in the summertime that I've been researching all sorts of different solutions. One of the things I did to reduce frizz is get rid of my layers. My hair now has more weight to it, making it look smoother and healthier. I also started using a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner. They smooth down my hair's cuticle, making it less prone to frizz.
Smudged eyeliner
If you have ever had to deal with smudged eyeliner in the summer, I know you feel my pain. It is truly a hassle having to reapply your eyeliner every hour because it smudges and fades so quickly. A great trick I've learned to prevent this problem is applying a black eye shadow over your eyeliner. It will make your eyeliner stay put all day, even if you are swimming. After you have applied your eyeliner, apply black eye shadow over it with an eyeliner brush.
So, what's the most embarrassing beauty mistake you have made in the summer?
