Let's face it. I am, without a doubt, a beauty junkie. I love all things beauty, makeup, and skin care. But I'm also pretty frugal, and I don't like to spend a lot of money on extravagant products when less expensive versions work just as well. But when it comes to creating my Christmas list, I look for things that I absolutely love, even if they are a little bit pricier than average. Here are a few of my favorite luxury beauty items that are a must on my Santa list this year.
Urban Decay Eye Shadow. If Santa knows me at all, then he knows that I love eye shadow. Urban Decay is, without a doubt, one of my favorite brands of eye shadow and one that will definitely be gracing my Christmas wish list this year. I especially love the purple shades of Grifter and Fishnet. This finely milled pressed powder shadow is velvety smooth and soft. At $18 a piece it can get a little bit pricey (especially if you are stocking up on shadows for your pallet) but this densely pigmented shadow lasts and lasts. The intense colors are longwearing and highly blendable, making them the perfect complement to any makeup wardrobe. These shadows can be purchased individually or added to an ingeniously designed compact. Of course, I'll need some eyeliners, and mascaras to go with my favorite eye shadows. And don't forget Urban Decay's signature eye primer potion….
Kat Von D Lock-It Tattoo Foundation. Most of the time, I like a medium coverage foundation. However, there are times, especially in the dreary days of winter, that I need a bit more weight to my coverage for my face. Admittedly, I have a few favorite drug store brands of foundation, but my newest face favoring obsession is Kat Von D's Lock-It Tattoo Foundation. This formula is a full coverage foundation with a beautiful finish. This foundation is densely pigmented and may even cover tattoos (hence, the name, Lock-It Tattoo foundation). My days are endless at times, so this long wearing, 24 hour formula, is right up my alley. At $34, it is pricier than your typical drug store foundation, but well worth the investment.
Nano Eyeliners. What would Christmas morning be without stocking stuffers? I hope Santa stuffs my stocking to the brim with Sephora's adorable Nano Eyeliners. These little liners pack a big punch - each liner is highly pigmented and formulated with shea butter for a soft, smooth glide. And at just $5 your Secret Santa can afford to lavish you with one in every color. My favorite, of course, is glitter black.
I've been extra good this year, so I hope Santa gets my beauty wish list. How about you? Have you been extra good? What beauty items would you like to receive from Santa for Christmas this year?
