Nail art is all of the rage these days. Changing your nail color and adding pops of pattern can change your entire wardrobe. With the economy as it still is, lacking in jobs and low pay, women around the globe are finding ways to express their fashion sense with an inexpensive way. Nail art is a fun way to change up your attire.
The easiest nail art I have found are polka dots. If this is your first attempt at nail art I would suggest this design. It is simple and will allow you to hone your skills before moving on to a more difficult design.
What you need:
Clear Polish: I like Sally Hansen's Hard as Nails
Two Different Colors of Polish: I used Avon's Jade and Watermelon for this look.
A Mechanical Pencil
What to Do:
Step 1: Apply two coats of clear polish and allow to dry.
Step 2: Using a mechanical pencil, dip the pencil tip into the first nail polish wand, this is the easiest way to get enough of the color onto the tip. Apply three dots to the nail on the left side of the nail. (Tip: Make sure you have plenty of polish on the tip so when you place it on the nail the polish doesn't fade into the nail.)
Step 3: After you have applied this first color allow to dry.
Step 4: Repeat step 2 using the other color.
Step 5: Allow to dry
This is so simple and you can use many other colors or apply more polka dots on the entire nail. Another easy nail art application is with glitter. You can either purchase a glitter top coat and apply to any color of nail polish or many brands of polish are now adding the glitter into the polish.
