Autumn is teasing me every morning with light breezes and cooler temperatures. It makes me ready for jackets, dark denim, pretty wavy hair, and darker shades of lipstick! This beauty guru assignment is about fall trends. I choose my favorite makeup trend: winged eyeliner (aka the cat eye). It's been around for a while, but it is going no where. I see so many different version on pinterest that it just shows its amazing popularity. It's not for the fainted hearted, but with the right products, anyone can do it!
The key is a good eyeliner. NOT a pencil, more like a marker. A pencil will smudge, and unless you are already familiar with liquid eyeliner, I wouldn't recommend it either. The best eyeliners for this look are more like markers/felt tip pens.
My two favorite are:
Eyeko Skinny Liquid Eyeliner and Maybelline Line Stiletto Ultimate Precision Liquid Eyeliner

I always choose black for this look to make a statement!
Step 1: Apply the liner along the lid like you normally would. Across the whole lid.
Step 2: Pulling the side of your eye, make a angled line outward from the end of your eyeliner.
Step 3: Fill in any weird looking areas.
Step 4: Top with mascara and DONE!
If it doesn't work the first time, don't give up. Try again! The good thing about makeup is you can always start over! OR if you're completely over it, then buy Rock Cosmetics "eyerock" eyeliner stickers. They come in different winged shapes and can be trimmed to fit your eye. I speak from experience, these work! They feel like having fake eyelashes on. So if that doesn't bother you, this might be your perfect solution!
Pair your winged eyeliner with minimal or neutral shadow for more of a day look, and a bold lip for night!
